Michael was born and raised in the Columbia area of South Carolina. He graduated cum laude with a B.S. in Business Administration from The Citadel in 2012. While at the Citadel he obtained the rank of first lieutenant and served as Lima Company's Academic Officer. Following graduation from The Citadel, he earned a J.D. from Charlotte School of Law in 2015. He was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 2015 and the U.S. District Court of South Carolina in 2020.
Once admitted to the South Carolina Bar Michael joined the Second Circuit Solicitor's Office where he spent invaluable time in the court room prosecuting and trying a wide range of cases from misdemeanors in Magistrate's Court to felonies in General Sessions Court. In 2019 he received the J. Strom Thurmond, Jr. Award of Excellence in prosecution.
In March of 2020, Michael transitioned into private practice by joining a recognized personal injury and general practice firm. While there he managed a large caseload of personal injury, criminal defense, probate, real estate, and end of life matters. He also has experience in all areas of the courtroom including from the Judge's bench.
Now wanting to spend his time helping clients in the courtroom, Michael focuses exclusively on personal injury and criminal defense matters.
